Biking Stanley Park
Thursday 9th October 2014
The beautiful weather came at the perfect time as we spent the whole day exploring the huge 400ha Stanley Park. Our first stop for the day was Whole Foods then to Sushi Mart to collect some goodies for our lunchtime picnic.

We are lucky enough to have timed our trip perfectly to witness the awesome colours of the Fall. This building stopped us in our tracks, just gorgeous!
We picked up two hybrids from English Bay Bike Rentals and began our 10km loop around the Stanley Park Seawall.
The views from the Seawall are breathtaking – just remember to ride on the right hand side, Sarah had a close call!
Picnic time! We found a beautiful secluded park to eat our lunch under a thinning Maple tree. On the menu for lunch was a quinoa salad (Sarah food!) and sushi, which was the freshest and tastiest we have ever had.
One of the many little walking tracks hidden throughout the park.
Biking down the Lees trail. We even had a squirrel run in front of us!
Vancouver Aquarium is located in the middle of Stanley Park, so we thought, why not go and meet the otters!
Sarah’s favourites were by far the jellyfish. So many different species and they are all so mesmerising.
Meet Greg. He is a poisonous dart frog from the Jungles of South America. Greg was Andy’s favourite.
Watching the Beluga Whales.
Perfect way to finish the day at English Bay. A popular spot for the locals to watch the sunset over the ocean.
Chilling on the beach watching a couple of guys playing frisbee – ah the serenity.
We promised ourselves that we would eat lots of different meals whilst travelling, but Sushi Mart was just too damn tasty! We also dined for dinner on the way home and enjoyed complementary green tea and miso soup.
Whole Foods has been a good friend to Sarah. Why won’t you come to Australia?
