Granville Island

Friday 10th October 2014
For our last day in Vancouver we explored Granville Island. A very popular spot to pick up local produce and locally made crafts. We caught the little blue ferry from Yaletown to Granville Island, about a 15min trip. The operator was super friendly and gave us some suggestions for what to see and where to eat.

Overlooking one of the eating areas in the Public Market.

Pumpkins galore this time of year as Thanksgiving and Halloween are just around the corner.

These berries were just too hard to resist. We purchased some fresh strawberries, raspberries and blackberries for our upcoming road trip to Kelowna.

Happy flowers!

In true Jolliffe style, we couldn’t leave without grabbing some interesting cat magnets to add to our fridge. We miss our little boy.

Some interesting choices in seafood. Anyone up for sea urchin?

We are loving the holiday decorations, so festive!

Delicious sweets could be found at every turn. You name it, they had it.

Taking our ferry man’s recommendation, we had lunch at the Sandbar. We timed our arrival perfectly and were lucky enough to have the best seats in the house!

This meal really hit the spot! Fresh fish and crunchy chips whilst looking over the water, what a great way to end our trip to Granville Island.
