Exploring Vancouver

The day is finally here! We spent almost a whole year planning this 4 week honeymoon and we are looking forward to seeing what Canada and New York has to offer.

Tuesday 7th October 2014
First stop was the Brisbane airport to catch our flight with Korean Air to Incheon International Airport. After a delay in boarding our flight, catching the connecting flight to Vancouver was a little on the rushed side but we made it just in time to start the next leg of our journey. Look closely to find the personalised message :)

2 flights, 1 train, 1 taxi and 25 hours later we arrived at Vancouver and made our way to the apartment we had for the next 5 days. Despite being jet lagged we stayed up long enough to watch the sunset, and what a view it was from the 26th floor!

For those of you that know us well, know that we love our coffee so we were excited to see a Starbucks right next door to our apartment. We had been told that finding a flat white in Vancouver was like finding a needle in a haystack but to our surprise Starbucks pulled through - it's still no Merlo though!

One of the beautiful streets of Downtown Vancouver.

Ah Meat & Bread, you were amazing! This tiny little sandwich shop really lived up to it's popular reputation, so good infact we thought it deserved two pictures.

Revolver: The needle in the haystack! Andy researched up a storm to find this beaut which is one of the only coffee shops in Downtown Vancouver that makes an Australian flat white. You get to choose your bean and they then brew it in a glass container called a Chemex. Coffee was definitely 5 out of 5!

Another picturesque street.

This is the view from lying down in our bed. Can't get much better, right?!
