It's the Journey, not the Destination

After 6 days in Canmore we were ready to make our way to Jasper. The drive is one of the most beautiful in the world and it definitely lived up to its reputation.
We stopped at several places along the way, with Peyto Lake being a highlight.
The Saskatchewan River Crossing.
We stopped here for a break and ate our lunch in the car whilst enjoying this amazing view!
One of the most popular tourist attractions to experience on the way to Jasper is the Columbia Icefield Glacier Adventure.
This bad boy is specially built to drive onto glaciers. The same type of vehicle is used in the arctic!
When we arrived at the Athabasca Glacier, Andy was brave enough to submerge his hands in the freezing water so we could bottle it and enjoy on the drive back. Yum!
This picture doesn’t come close to showing just how cold and windy it was up there!
When we arrived at our Jasper accommodation we were greeted by Elise the Border Collie.
We spent our few days in Jasper relaxing and driving around trying to find wildlife.
Unfortunately we didn’t get to see any bears, moose or elk but we did meet some friendly goats.

We left at dawn to head back to Canmore and got to see the sunrise over the mountains.
No filter, no editing, this was just a perfect moment to capture. Probably our favourite photo from our time in Canada.
Andy tried the whole trip to take a photo with the mountains reflected in the water. Finally he pulled it off on the last day!
