Halloween and Exploring Midtown

Friday 31st October 2014
Happy Halloween!
What a great time to be visiting America…. the carved pumpkins, the decorations, and all of the costumes were are real sight to see.

We had a great Halloween night planned, dinner and drinks at The Place, then off to see the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade. The Place was a great little hidden away restaurant with delicious cocktails and even better desserts.

After dinner we went down to see the parade and we’re blown away by how many people there were on the streets, it was insane!

We didn’t last long in the swarms of people and decided to go for a late night walk around the streets of Chelsea, away from the craziness of the two million people crammed into Greenwich Village!

Sunday 2nd November 2014
What a perfect day to visit the Empire State Building. The skies were clear and you could see for miles.

It may have been a sunny day, but boy was it cold up there!

We then made our way to Bryant Park where we were greeted with markets, delicious food and ice skating.

And not to mention one of our favourite discoveries from our trip…. hot apple cider vinegar. Yum!

Next up was a wander through the New York Public Library.

And to finish off a great day of exploring and seeing the sights, The Lion King at the Minskoff Theatre. What an amazing show, another thing we would highly recommend if you find yourself in NYC.
